HKSCA HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

HKSCA is a key Collaborating Partner of Alliance for Disaster Relief (AFDR) since its inception in 2011, which comprises 40 community organizations. 

President of HKSCA as the coordinator of AFDR has led several humanitarian projects in response to disasters, which includes:

Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts:

Over 300 thousand in kind distribution food, merchandise etc. / refurbishing homes around City of Houston impacted over 25 K Houstonian.

Covid-19:

In 2020 to taper the COVID19 effects and to help those in need initiated “COVID-19 Relief Efforts” and managed several initiatives worth over half a million U.S. Dollar, benefiting the Community in Houston and Pakistan through Food, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) drives and daily use items distribution drives & organized several Free COVID Testing Camps-Benefitted over 50,000 people in Houston and around the world.

Texas Winter Storm:

Organized a Community Collaborative “Mega food / merchandize Drive Thru” benefited over 10,000 Houstonian.

Other International Humanitarian efforts which created strong impact towards the Generosity of Houston Community and Goodwill:

2022 Pakistan Floods $ 2 Million Relief Efforts, 2013 Earthquake Relief Efforts in Pakistan, Karachi Rains Floods Relief 2020-2023, Rehabilitate & Furnish flooded Schools, Thar Drought Recuperation Program.

After historic devastation, the 2022 Pakistan Floods Relief Efforts, a 40 plus Community Collaborative raised $ 2 Million in Cash and in kind, under which over more than 50 relief efforts were organized, which includes Medical Camps, Grocery Distribution, tents, Hygiene Kits, benefitted over 100,000 people and building of 155 homes in all over Pakistan. In addition, shipped Several winter related clothing & daily uses household items and Medical Supplies Containers.
