Pakistan 70th Anniversary of Independence was celebrated by The Consulate General of Pakistan Aisha Farooqui and Co Hosted by S. Javaid Anwar CEO Midland Energy & in Collaboration with Houston Karachi Sister City Association with Congressman Al Green and many members of Consular Corps, Elected Officials at Hilton Houston Post Oak.

Mayor Houston proclaimed August 14, 2017 as ” Pakistan National Day” and a proclamation was presented by Council Member Karla Cisneros, Council Member Mike Knox, and Council Member Jack Christie on behalf of Mayor Sylvester Turner.

The event also featured a Photographic Exhibition of Pakistan journey of 70 years directed by BBC Journalist Fifi Haroon which featured the work of Tapu Javeri and other prominent Photographers of Pakistan.
